Rails

Top & Bottom rail: The top and bottom rail will be the same (or similar) size if no divider rail. If you need different size rails, please specify. We suggest ordering shutters for the same order at one time, so that the rail size will match.

Divider rail: Standard divider rail is 76.2mm. Default location: center of the panel unless specified otherwise.

A divider rail is an extra rail in the middle of the panel.
Creates two sections in the panel so louvers can be operated independently.
Strengthens the panel and enhances structural integrity.
Divider rail location: from bottom of window to centre of divider rail for inside mount; from bottom edge of bottom frame to centre of divider rail for outside mount (OD of frame size).

OD of frame:

— Measure from the bottom of the frame to the center of the divider rail.

OP: (overall panel size):

— Measure from the bottom of the panel to the center of the divider rail.

Position:

— Per customer’s specification. However, the divider rail may be adjusted to a lower or higher position, within our allowable deviation, to ensure reinforcement and aesthetics of the shutter.

When placing the order, please clearly specify if the divider rail position needs to line up with that of other shutter divider rails in the same room. Please also refer to the table below for the allowable deviation details.

This diagram is to help determine the adequate depth inside the window opening for unobstructed louver rotation. The figures given are measured from the back of the panel to the window.

Tilt Rods

Standard tilt rod: tilt rod in centre of panel.

Hidden tilt rod:

Notch out the stile. 63mm/ 89mmlouvre can be ordered with hidden tilt rod. The hidden tilt rod will be split into 2 parts automatically when the number of louvres connected to the hidden tilt rod exceeds the following limit:

The bottom part will has one more louvre than the top part if the louvre qty is odd. If the louvre qty is even, the top and bottom part louvres will be the same qty.

Offset tilt rod: standard offset is 25mm from centre of tilt rod to end of louvre on hinge side.

*Offset tilt rod for multi-fold shutters

For the multi-fold panels, we will make the tilt rod offset from the centre. By doing so, panels can be folded flat without tilt rods being obstructed with each other. The standard offset for the tilt rod is 7mm from the centre, i.e. tilt rod will be 7mm to the left from the centre for the left panels, and 7mm to the right from the centre for the right panels. Besides, the rabbet is made with right panels over left ones for the both the panels folded to left and to right.
